Cam Sullivan-Brown, 25, a Bowie native who graduated from Saint Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel before heading to Penn State to play ball, has been named as one of the 16 new contestants on the popular reality series.

Sullivan-Brown was one of the most highly sought-after recruits coming out of high school before choosing to take his talents to play for the Nittany Lions.

He notched just 17 catches over four years at Penn State before transferring to UMass, where he caught 27 balls for 373 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Since graduating, Sullivan-Brown has been working as a physical therapist and has become a popular figure on social media, which is where he announced the big news of his TV debut,

"Hey mamma - tell them we on TV," he said. "I'm going to be on Big Brother, but I've been backlogging content so I can continue to give you gems some love," he said.

"My father will be reading and responding to your comments and report back to me because I just want to give the love back that you all give to me."

"Big Brother" follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day, according to producers.

Each week, someone will be voted out of the house, with the last remaining Houseguest receiving the grand prize of $750,000.

Season 26 of "Big Brother" will premiere at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17 with a second episode at the same time the following day.
